Blog 7: Reflection of Process

The process of how I have created my documentary so far has mainly consisted of me gathering information. I have used the UK Libraries website and their databases to find articles, research papers, peer reviews, and journal publishings to find information that can be used to either support or breakdown an argument about my topic. I have also gathered surveys and graphs about in which ways and to what extent divorce has had an effect. I have used the information in an attempt to display the effects of divorce on children and their psyche, whether that be in a positive or negative way. I have also conducted interviews with three people. Two of those people were related to me, and the other was a freshman I met here at the University of Kentucky. The main differences in the three interviews is their perspective. One is from the kids stance and how it she felt about it, the other reflects how divorce effects her relationships with people, and finally the last if from the perspective of someone who has had a divorce. Although I don’t have video of their interviews, I have been using their transcripts to record voice overs. Lastly, as of now, I have been looking for videos on youtube and other cites to find a more interesting way to reveal these effects. I feel that having an experienced and professional psychologist of some sort helps relate how and what degree children will feel and express the effects.
