Blog 3: Primary Artifact 1
The primary artifact I chose was a picture of a family. In this family the parents are divorced and the kids is in the middle. I chose it because it describes the topic of my project. I am choosing to discuss the effect divorce has children of that home, and if growing up with divorced parents is a predictor of your future. I think a child growing up without the demonstration of a non-sperated family and a working relationship between two people. Both of these things are important when growing up because we use them to display for us what that kind of relationship should look like or how our families should look like when we have one of our own. I think my artifact correctly displays the anxiety and hardship that follows a divorce, especially if both parents are still around. I think its rare for a child not to pick sides, or see one side as in the right. However, even if they haven't picked a side, it's almost certain that at some point they will feel the pull between both parents. They will feel the anxiousness of being caught in the middle. This isn't meant to put blame on the parents and its not entirely their fault, often at least through experience, I have been the cause of my own anxiety and feelings of being put in the middle.
